Privacy policy
Last updated October 2, 2026
The short version: the app exists so a real estate agent can keep their seller up to date. We read what the agent connects, we store what is needed to show the seller their home's progress, and we never sell or advertise with any of it.
Who we are
Seller App is built and operated by RETG, based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Questions about this policy go to rylan@retg.ca.
Who uses it
- Agents sign in to the hub, set up their brand, create a listing for each home they sell and send updates to their seller.
- Sellers open the app from a link their agent sends them. They see their own home only: updates, showings, feedback and numbers.
What we collect
- Agent account: name, email address, phone number, photo and brand assets the agent chooses to add.
- Listings: the home's address, price, photos, milestones, showings and the updates written for the seller.
- Seller access: a seller's first name and, if the agent adds it, a phone number or email used only so the app can address them. We do not email or text sellers; updates arrive inside the app.
- Connected services: when an agent connects an inbox, a CRM, a listing portal or a social post, we read from those services as described below. We never write to them or send anything from them.
- Usage: standard server logs (IP address, browser, time) kept for security and reliability.
Gmail and Google user data
An agent can connect one or more Gmail inboxes. We ask Google for read-only access to Gmail and the account's email address. Here is exactly what happens with that access:
- We search the connected inbox only for messages that mention one of the agent's listings (its street address or MLS number) or that come from known listing vendors such as showing schedulers and photographers.
- Only those matching messages are read. The rest of the inbox is never downloaded, stored or shown to anyone.
- A matching message is turned into a draft update for the seller, which the agent reviews before anything is shared. We keep the message's sender, subject, date and the text needed to write that update.
- Access is read-only. We never send, delete, label or modify email, and we never use Gmail data for advertising.
- The agent can disconnect an inbox at any time from their profile. We then revoke our access with Google and delete the stored access token.
Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide the seller-update features the agent asked for; it is not sold, not used for advertising, and not read by humans except where the agent asks for support, where it is required for security or legal reasons, or where the data has been aggregated and anonymised.
How we use information
- To run the app: show the seller their home, let the agent write and send updates, and turn connected data into drafts.
- To send the agent notifications about work waiting for them, if they turn notifications on.
- To keep the service secure and working.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- The seller's agent sees everything about their own listings. A seller sees only their own home.
- Service providers that host and run the app for us: Supabase (database and functions, hosted in Canada), Cloudflare (web hosting), Anthropic (reads vendor emails to write draft updates) and Stripe (billing for agents). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
How long we keep it
Listing data is kept while the agent's account is active so sellers can look back at their sale. Access tokens for connected services are deleted the moment the agent disconnects. An agent can ask us to delete their account and everything in it by emailing rylan@retg.ca; we complete deletion within 30 days.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access tokens for connected services are stored server-side and are never readable from the app. Only the systems that need them can use them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Write to rylan@retg.ca. If you are a seller, the quickest route is usually your agent, who controls your listing.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell agents inside the hub.
